Government Degree College ,Samthar, Jhansi is an eminent seat of learning in the remotest part of Jhansi city. It was established in 1996 by the sincere efforts of Maharaj of Samthar. It is affiliated to Bundelkhand University Jhansi. It provides the degree of Bachelor of Arts to the students.It offers education in 7 subjects- Hindi ,English , Sociology, History, Political Science, Economics and Physical Education.
The college has facilities of Wi-Fi, E- library ,common room, sports, library and scholarship.It organizes co- curricular and extensions activities from time to time throughout the year. Teaching staff is actively engaged in research activities. Constant efforts are being made to run B.sc.agriculture in the college.The process for the NAAC is also going on.
